Chris Robshaw relishing "intense" Ireland clash

England captain Chris Robshaw believes that his side will thrive in the pressure-cooker atmosphere of a Six Nations clash against Ireland in Dublin today.

England captain Chris Robshaw has declared that his side have enough quality to beat Ireland in a crunch Six Nations clash this afternoon.

At this early stage of the tournament England and Ireland are the last two sides in with a chance of claiming a Grand Slam, adding extra spice to today's match at the Aviva Stadium.

Robshaw believes that England are peaking at the right time and has revealed that he plans to set a captain's example with his performance against the Irish.

He told reporters: "We know the passion is going to be there and the intensity Irish sides bring. We face these guys in Heineken Cup ties, so we are under no illusions exactly how hard and how intense it is going to be.

"They are the games you want to play. As a squad, we have had spikes of intensity. It hasn't been 90 minutes of full-on craziness, it has been short and sharp and at the right times.

"I am in a good place in a good team with a great set of coaches and players around me. What else do I need as captain?"

Ireland edged Wales in their opening match last week, while England produced a dominant display to win the Calcutta Cup against Scotland at Twickenham.
