Chris Robshaw: 'England took on Wales challenge'

Chris Robshaw says that England can be "very satisfied" with their 21-16 victory over Wales.

Chris Robshaw believes that England were prepared for the challenge after coming from behind to beat Wales in their Six Nations opener in Cardiff.

The 2003 world champions laid to rest the ghosts of their humiliating defeat in Cardiff two years ago as they produced a stirring second-half display to win 21-16.

However, the England captain has suggested that his team rallied well after a tough start to the game.

He told BBC Sport: "You look at those first 20 minutes and a lesser side could've crumbled. But, we came in at half time, regrouped and lifted the intensity.

"I thought the guys defended brilliantly tonight and really took the challenge on.

"We were always confident in the guys who wore the shirt tonight. We went quietly about our business beforehand when lots of people were writing us off and I think we can be very satisfied with what we've done tonight."

England's next match sees them entertain Italy at Twickenham while Wales travel to Murrayfield to face Scotland.
