Former London Irish lock and Fiji international Api Ratuniyarawa pleads guilty to assault by penetration and sexual assault at Cardiff Crown Court.

Fijian rugby player Api Ratuniyarawa has pleaded guilty to sexual offences at Cardiff Crown Court.

Back in November, the 37-year-old was charged with two counts of assault by penetration and one count of sexual assault, which took place against three women between October 31 and November 2 at the Revolution bar in Cardiff.

Ratuniyarawa admitted the charges while denying a further two counts of sexual assault against one of the three women, and he has been granted bail until his sentencing on January 9.

The former Northampton Saints and London Irish man cannot leave his home between 7pm and 7am under the terms of his bail, and he has also been placed on the sex offenders register.

Ratuniyarawa represented London Irish as a lock between 2022 and 2023 before they were placed into administration earlier this year, and he has won 38 caps for Fiji since debuting in 2012.

Ratuniyarawa was also named in the Barbarians squad for their clash with Wales on November 4 before being charged with his crimes. body check tags ::
