France head coach Philippe Saint-Andre has suggested that scrum-half Morgan Parra will start in this weekend's Six Nations game at home to Wales.
Parra has been reduced to cameo roles so far, settling for a place on the bench behind Rory Kockott, but his performance against Ireland last time out could help him start Saturday's game in Paris.
Saint-Andre told reporters: "Morgan did well when he came on. In the first half we had trouble varying our play, but Morgan's performance gives us options at scrum-half.
"If we played the rest of the match like we played the last 15 minutes, we would have won easily."
Parra has 58 caps for France.
