The organisers of the Heineken Cup have confirmed that they will hold further talks with English and French clubs in an attempt to save the competition.
Earlier this month, teams from England and France asked Premiership Rugby to start a new tournament after expressing their unhappiness over the current format.
They dispute a number of issues with European Rugby Cup, including revenue distribution, qualification and scheduling.
A meeting between all parties is due to be held on October 23 as ERC looks to settle any differences of opinion and keep the Heineken Cup going.
