Ireland and Leinster hooker Sean Cronin has been ruled out of action for around three months due to a shoulder injury.
The 28-year-old has undergone an operation to repair tendon damage in his left shoulder.
Cronin featured in all of Ireland's games during their successful 2015 Six Nations campaign.
"The operation has gone well, but Sean will miss the rest of the Leinster rugby season, which involves games against Treviso and Edinburgh in the Guinness PRO12," read an official club statement. "The expected rehabilitation period is 12 weeks."
Cronin has won 43 caps for the senior Ireland team.
