Ireland centre Brian O'Driscoll has denied reports that he could continue playing rugby until the 2015 World Cup.
The 34-year-old recently signed a new one-year deal with his country and Leinster to quash rumours that he was to retire at the end of the season.
However, O'Driscoll insists that he is simply not capable of sticking around long enough to play at the World Cup in England in two years' time.
"I really am not ready for a year of speculation. It is going to be just the one. I can't handle that in every interview that I do," O'Driscoll told the Irish Times.
"I know with my wife, I did agree to do just one more. I did say as well when I was talking about a World Cup, that means three pre-seasons. I don't have another three pre-seasons in me."
O'Driscoll recently became only the third player in history to be selected for four British and Irish Lions tours.
