Ireland claim their second win of the Six Nations with a 32-14 victory over Scotland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Ireland have claimed their second win of the Six Nations with a 32-14 victory over Scotland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Two penalties from Greig Laidlaw fired the Scots into an early lead, but a try from Rory Best, converted by Jonathan Sexton, put the Irish in front after 14 minutes.

Sexton then hit a penalty between the posts to extend the home side's lead, before another Laidlaw kick kept the Scots in the tie.

Eoin Reddan's converted try on 33 minutes edged Ireland further in front, but Richie Gray's unconverted try soon after looked to have given the Scots a glimmer of hope going into the break.

However, Andrew Trimble capitalised on some poor defending on the stroke of half time to give Ireland a 22-14 lead at the interval.

It took until the 72nd minute for the first points of the second half to be notched up as Sexton found the posts again with his second penalty of the afternoon.

The win was sealed in the 77th minute when Fergus McFadden touched down for the hosts, with Sexton successfully kicking the extras.
