Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll was pleased with the patience that his side displayed during their victory over Italy earlier today.
The convincing 36-6 win, which has sealed a quarter-final meeting with Wales, took a while in coming but O'Driscoll was "delighted" with the final result.
"We knew we were going to have to be patient as you have to grind your opponents down and go through the phases," said the 32-year-old skipper.
"We took our scores clinically and are delighted with the win. We knew we needed it and I'm glad we were able to deliver that in the second half."
O'Driscoll claimed Ireland's first try against the Italians.
