Ireland captain Rory Best was delighted with his side's performance after their 32-14 win over Scotland in the Six Nations in Dublin.
The hooker opened the scoring for the hosts as they went on to secure their second win of the tournament.
"It was a big result for us," Best told BBC Sport. "We knew their results haven't reflected performances, so it was a massive game, especially with a six-day turnaround and losing three key players before the start.
"But we're proud of the way they stood up and to put 32 points on Scotland, we must have done something right. Next week against England is a massive game, but first things first, we'll enjoy tonight."
Saturday's match at the Aviva Stadium also saw Best equal Keith Woods's record of 58 appearances for an Irish hooker.
