New Zealand's Ben Lam believes that his side are beatable at the Commonwealth Games if they fail to play at their best, despite extending their 100% record to 29 matches.

New Zealand's Ben Lam has insisted that his side are beatable at the Commonwealth Games this weekend.

The All Blacks have been the dominant force in rugby sevens over the years, boasting a 100% record at the Commonwealth Games with 29 wins from 29 matches since the sport was introduced in 1998.

They are through to the semi-finals of the medal competition again in Glasgow having beaten Canada, Scotland, Barbados and Kenya so far at Ibrox, but Lam insists that they are taking nothing for granted.

"I think anyone, on their day, can stop us. It's just a matter of us turning up and being prepared to take whatever teams are going to throw at us," Lam told Sports Mole.

New Zealand, who are also reigning IRB World Series and World Cup champions, will face arch rivals Australia for a place in the gold medal match.
