Former England flanker Steffon Armitage has tested positive for a banned substance, according to reports in France.
French newspaper Midi Olympique have reported that the Toulon player tested positive for Doliprane codeine after the Top 14 final.
The product, which is on the World Doping Agency's banned list, is said to be used as pain relief for a back injury caused in a previous game.
However, the substance was taken without medical permission and Armitage has been provisionally suspended before an appearance in front of the French Rugby's Federation anti-doping commission on August 21.
