Dai Young is expected to make a move to Wasps as director of rugby.
The 43-year-old has presided over the Cardiff Blues for the past nine seasons, leading them to Amlin Challenge Cup and EDF Energy Cup victories during his tenure.
The former Wales and British & Irish Lions prop would join Wales assistant coach Shaun Edwards at the club if the deal takes place, although Blues management have been quoted as saying that Wasps have made no official approach.
Wasps have been without a permanent manager since Tony Hanks left in February by mutual agreement. Leon Holden has acted as caretaker since Hanks’s departure.
