Racing Metro have reportedly made a surprise offer for Bath fly-half Olly Barkley.
The 30-year-old has kicked 48 points this season to help guide his side to two wins from their opening three Aviva Premiership fixtures.
However, Racing will now try to lure the former England international to France ahead of declaring their squad for the Heineken Cup, according to The Telegraph.
With Bath not in European competition this season, Barkley could be tempted to make the shock switch.
