Stuart Hogg has been included in Scotland's starting lineup for their opening match at the 2015 Rugby World Cup against Japan.
The full-back was injured during the warm-up win over Italy last month, but is fit enough to feature in Friday's match at Gloucester, along with winger Sean Lamont, who will win his 98th cap for the side.
Head coach Vern Cotter told reporters: "We've prepared well for what will be a very tough Test against a powerful and fit Japanese team, who like to play a high-tempo game.
"They will have taken a lot of confidence from their opening win over South Africa. However, that doesn't change our approach to this game or the pool. The priority for us to ensure that we get our jobs right with accuracy, and impose ourselves on the game."
South African-born flanker Josh Strauss is among the replacements for Scotland, after becoming eligible to represent the country in residency rules last week.
