Former Scotland captain Gavin Hastings has expressed his delight in witnessing his nation defeat Ireland at Murrayfield yesterday.
The Scottish outfit came from behind to secure a 12-8 victory in the Six Nations clash.
"The Scotland team have worked very hard over a number of years, without getting any success or recognition and this year they've had some luck going their way," Hastings told BBC Radio Five Live.
"It's lovely to leave Murrayfield with people singing again and smiles on their faces and it's been a long time since that has happened."
Scotland have recorded two wins and one defeat during their campaign, which continues with a fourth-round match against Wales on March 9.
