Veteran South Africa duo Jean de Villiers and Victor Matfield are expected to miss the Boks’ World Cup clash with Fiji.
A rib cartilage strain forced centre de Villiers to leave the field during yesterday's (Sunday) victory over Wales, while lock Matfield was also replaced when his hamstring tightened up during the match.
Both players are expected to be out of action for up to 10 days, while second row Bakkies Botha is also a doubt with a persistent Achilles problem.
"He hasn't responded as well as we anticipated. We are still working on it and we haven't made a decision in terms of how we're going to continue with him at this stage," team doctor Craig Roberts said of Botha.
South Africa continue their World Cup campaign against Fiji on Saturday, September 17.
