Tonga captain Nili Latu has insisted that his side will fight to the end in their quest to reach the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup for the first time.
The Pacific Islanders saw their campaign begin with a damaging 17-10 defeat at the hands of Georgia at Kingsholm this afternoon, leaving them needing to stun either Argentina or New Zealand to realistically stand a chance of qualifying from Pool C.
The match in Gloucester was seen by many as a straight shootout for third place in the group, but Latu refused to rule out an unlikely recovery from his side.
"It's always hard to come off losing a game, but we just made everything harder for ourselves," he told Sports Mole.
"We've still got three games to go, so everything is possible for us. We've just got to regroup and look forward to our next game."
Tonga's next match sees them take on Namibia on September 29.
