Jonny Wilkinson has admitted that fixtures such as Toulon's Heineken Cup win over Leicester Tigers at the weekend are the reason why he signed a new contact with the French outfit.
The former England fly-half kicked six penalties as they overcame the Tigers in the south of France, a result that he branded "a great victory for the club".
"It's a great victory for the club. It was a big occasion and this is a first for us. That is why is signed a new contract, for days like this," he told reporters at a press conference.
"The joy and desire to play with this team, the energy and togetherness we feel is what has kept me going.
Toulon will face Saracens in the semi-finals later this month.
