Shaun Edwards is close to agreeing a fresh deal with Wales to stay as defence coach for at least another four years, according to BBC Sport.
The 45-year-old has been out of work since he left his role with Wasps earlier this month, while his contract with Wales expired following the conclusion of the World Cup.
In recent days there has been stories linking Edwards with a switch to the England national team.
However, it now appears that he will be extending his stay as part of Warren Gatland's coaching staff.
