Wales forward Ryan Jones has been ruled out of this weekend's test match against Argentina with a shoulder injury.

Jones was aiming to return to international action against the Pumas at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, but has been forced to take extra time to recover from a persistent shoulder problem.

The former Wales captain will take an extra week to recover in a bid to be fit for the second autumn match against Samoa in Cardiff on Friday, November 16.

Competition is stiff to replace Jones at number six, with Aaron Shingle and Josh Turnbull fighting for a starting spot against Argentina.
