Wales centre Jamie Roberts believes that his side are going to be targeted by every team in the upcoming Six Nations, but his coach Warren Gatland has told his players to strut their stuff in the tournament.
The champions kick off the defence of their crown against Italy in Cardiff on Saturday, and Roberts revealed that the New Zealander has asked his squad to demonstrate self-belief as they go in search a third straight title.
He told The Mirror: "He wants us to be confident as well as honest. We can't go into our shells, we want to express ourselves and believe we're the champions.
"We are a well-oiled machine and know if we get all our stars fit and firing we are a dangerous outfit."
Roberts was one of the try scorers when the British and Irish Lions, coached by Gatland, emphatically beat Australia 41-16 in Sydney last July to clinch a Test series win.
