Team England shooter David Luckman has completed a double-double at the Commonwealth Games, successfully retaining his title in the Queen's Prize individual event.
The 41-year-old yesterday mounted a successful defence of the Queen's Prize pairs with partner Parag Patel and has today followed that up with solo victory to ensure that he retains both gold medals first won in Glasgow four years ago.
Luckman's closest challenger came in the form of Australia's Jim Bailey, but the Englishman made certain of the win in the 1000m range to finish with a Games-record score of 404-49v to Bailey's 403-50v.
Patel, meanwhile, followed up his individual bronze at Glasgow with a medal of the same colour today, having shot 403-45v to hold off the threat of Scotland's Ian Shaw.
Just two medal events now remain on the final day of shooting action on the Gold Coast - the men's 50m rifle 3 positions and the men's trap, the latter of which will see Aaron Heading bid to reclaim the gold he won at the Delhi Games in 2010.
