World number nine Ding Junhui produces an expletive rant following his early exit from the UK Championship in York.
WARNING! This article contains strong language and/or content that some readers may prefer to avoid.

Ding Junhui could be punished by World Snooker for the expletive comments that he made following his exit from the UK Championship yesterday afternoon.

The world number nine was regarded as the big favourite to progress through to the second round at the expense of Adam Duffy, but the amateur ran out a 6-2 victor in York.

In a news conference that lasted less than a minute, Ding hit out at the playing conditions inside the Barbican Centre.

"It was crap. Fucking four tables and everything is going wrong. I don't want to say any more about this. It's just crap. It's for amateurs," said the Chinese player.

The 28-year-old's words have since been referred to the governing body's disciplinary arm.
