Seven-time world champion Stephen Hendry has inflicted John Higgins's worst ever World Championship defeat, beating the reigning champion 13-4.
Hendry needed just one frame to complete the comprehensive win having ended Friday's session 12-4 up.
The Scot will now appear in his first quarter-final at the Crucible since 2009, where he will face fellow countryman Stephen Maguire after he beat Joe Perry 13-7.
Higgins, himself a four-time world champion, is currently ranked as the sixth-best snooker player in the world while Hendry, who was snooker's world number one for eight consecutive years between 1990 and 1998, is now ranked 23rd.
