Stephen Maguire fought back from being 6-3 and 7-5 behind to defeat Ricky Walden 8-7 in the final of the Six Red World Championship in Thailand.
The 33-year-old Scot recorded an early break of 73, just two points short of a maximum in the format, on his way to victory.
The title is Maguire's first in more than a year and earns him £48,000 in prize money.
Maguire and Walden now head to China for the Shanghai Open which begins on Monday.
Maguire could face Ronnie O'Sullivan in the second round, while at the same stage Walden has a possible clash against world champion Mark Selby ahead of him.
