British duo Judd Trump and John Higgins both advanced through to the next round of the Shanghai Masters this afternoon.
UK champion Trump looked to be heading for an early exit when he trailed Barry Hawkins 3-0. However, the 23-year-old recovered to win five frames in succession to book his place in round three.
Higgins went one better than Trump, dropping just two frames on his way to knocking out Jamie Jones.
Graham Dott and Ryan Day also defeated Jin Long and Martin Gould respectively.
