Team England's Liam Tancock has paid tribute to the "amazing" support that the British swimmers have received during the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The 29-year-old picked up his second bronze medal of the Games in the 50m backstroke final this evening.

"It's been an amazing crowd all week," Tancock told Sports Mole. "They've come out to see some fast swimming from some of the fastest nations in the world and not just Team England delivering - the British team delivering over here as well.

"I think the crowd's getting behind us and I think that's what's keeping us going. It's what happened in London - amazing facility, amazing crowds there and it's been the same here. It's nice to see all those home nation flags up in the crowd and it's getting all of us going, which is great."

England currently have 19 swimming medals, Scotland have nine and Wales have scooped three so far.
