European backstroke champion Gemma Spofforth has suffered a broken nose and required 15 stitches after falling from her motorbike yesterday.
The 100m backstroke world record holder sustained her injuries in Florida where she has been training.
"Doing much better!! Keeping me in over night incase I have a concussion," the British swimmer said on Twitter.
The 23-year-old was hampered by illness during the recent World Championships and finished 23rd fastest in the heats.
