Great Britain's Oliver Hynd says that he is determined to get a medal in tonight's S8 100m backstroke final, where he will be competing against two of his compatriots.

Great Britain's Paralympic swimmer Olivier Hynd has insisted that he will give everything to try to win a medal in the men's S8 100m backstroke final.

The Brit managed to qualify alongside compatriots Thomas Young and Sean Fraser.

"For a morning swim, I just wanted to get to the final so see what I do tonight," Hynd told BBC Radio Five Live. "That stroke is one of my strongest strokes so I want to give it all. I won't be holding back in the final."

Meanwhile, Ellie Simmonds will contest for her third gold medal of the Paralympic Games in the women's S6 50m freestyle final.
