Great Britain will fight for a medal in the mixed 4x100m medley relay final tonight after qualifying second fastest in the heats at the World Championships, while the USA lead the way.
Britain picked a strong team of Chris Walker-Hebborn, Ross Murdoch, Elizabeth Kelly and Fran Halsall for the third heat in Kazan this morning.
Walker-Hebborn just snuck into second place after the backstroke leg, while Murdoch kept up the pace for Britain by finishing just two seconds behind leaders the USA after his breaststroke 100m.
Kelly completed the butterfly leg in second place, while Halsall brought it home for Britain in the freestyle to round off an overall time of 3:44.39.
The USA topped the timesheet with 3:42.33, while Germany qualified third in 3:45.39.
