Great Britain's Hannah Miley will fight for a place in the 200m butterfly final after making it through to tonight's semi-finals at the World Championships in Kazan.
The 25-year-old took to the pool in the final heat of the event, but the Scot was unable to match the leaders as she touched the wall in sixth place in a time of 2:09.44.
In the third heat, Miley's fellow Brit Aimee Willmott, who won silver in this event at the Commonwealth Games, failed to reach tonight's semis as finished 0.3s shy of the top 16.
The 22-year-old was just outside of the top three after the first turn in her heat, but she fell away at the midway point and eventually finished eighth in 2:10.07.
China's Zhang Yufei will head into the semi-finals as the fastest in the field after winning her heat in 2:06.92.
