Great Britain's Siobhan-Marie O'Connor has grabbed a place in the semi-finals of the 200m freestyle at the World Championships in Kazan after swimming 11th fastest in the heats this morning.
O'Connor, who clinched bronze in the 200m individual medley on Monday night, was in third place after the first turn, just on the shoulder of the USA's Missy Franklin.
The American pushed away from the rest of the field to comfortably win the heat, while O'Connor struggled in the closing stages of the race to finish fourth in 1:58.27.
In a separate heat, Katinka Hosszu started the strongest in the field, but the USA's Katie Ledecky moved ahead at the midway point of the race and was able to hold off the Hungarian to touch the wall in 1:55.82
World-record holder Federica Pellegrini of Italy also eased her way into tonight's semi-finals.
