Ross Murdoch has expressed his determination to make himself a regular fixture within the British swimming team.
The 20-year-old won Commonwealth Games gold in the 200m breaststroke earlier this summer, as well as also clinching bronze in the 100m.
The Scot is now eager to build upon that success, starting at next month's World Short Course Championships in Doha, before moving on to the World Championships and Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
"To make the Olympic Games, I have to be part of the Great Britain team," he told Team GB's official website.
"I really want to cement myself on that team and make sure that I'm on the team for the World Championships in the short course, on the team for World Championships long course and again for the Rio Olympic Games. I've really got to just be a regular member on that team and that's really what I'm there to do."
Also this year, Murdoch won silver medals in both the 100m and 200m breaststroke at the European Championships in Berlin.
