Madison Keys has claimed that she is thriving under the guidance of new coach Lindsay Davenport as she continues her Australian Open campaign.
The 19-year-old will meet Petra Kvitova in the third round in Melbourne on Saturday, and she believes that the advice given to her by fellow American and two-time Grand Slam champion Davenport in recent months is having a positive impact on her performances.
"Lindsay is awesome, I'm really happy to be working with her," Keys, who has never reached the fourth round of a Grand Slam, told reporters.
"It's nice having someone, who played similarly, being able to give me tips, and to say, 'when I played, this is how I played.'"
Davenport claimed earlier this week that she is expecting Keys to quickly improve her results with her help.
