Coach Todd Larkham has admitted that Nick Kyrgios can't afford any complacency against Malek Jaziri when they meet in the Australian Open third round on Friday.

A possible date with Roger Federer awaits the winner, but despite the seeded Tommy Robredo failing to reach the last 32, the 19-year-old's coach has insisted that his player must play his best tennis to guarantee progression.

Larkham is quoted by The Age as saying: "Nick now knows that it doesn't matter who you play, you've got to execute your shots under pressure whether it's Federer or whoever.

"Nick has huge respect for this guy and knows it's going to be a tough match. This guy isn't as good as Robredo, it's definitely a different challenge. But you can't afford to take it lightly, we expect a real battle and we're not looking further ahead."

Kyrgios defeated big-serving Ivo Karlovic to set up the showdown with Jaziri.
