Li Na has claimed that her experience made the difference during her win over teenager Belinda Bencic in round two of the Australian Open.
The Chinese fourth seed saw off the 16-year-old 6-0 7-6(5) on Wednesday to book her place in the third round of the tournament.
"Nobody says if you win the first set easily you can win the second set easily - that's why we play best of three sets," Li is quoted as saying by the WTA's official website.
"She played very well. I think she gave me a very tough time at the end of the second set. But I was really happy that in the end I could use my experience and win the match."
The former French Open champion will now face Czech 26th seed Lucie Safarova for a spot in the fourth round.
