Milos Raonic: 'Improvements are needed'

Milos Raonic concedes that he has plenty of work to do before he can challenge the likes of Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray on a regular basis.

Canada's Milos Raonic has admitted that he must improve certain aspects of his game if he is to ever challenge the world's top four players.

The 22-year-old is viewed by many as a bright prospect who has the potential to battle for major titles in the future.

However, the current world number 15 admitted after his round-four exit at the Australian Open to Roger Federer earlier today that he has a long way to go before he can live up to that billing.

"Even though I was limited in some things, there's some things to compete with Roger, to compete with Novak (Djokovic), to compete with Andy (Murray), to compete with Rafa that I need to do better," said Raonic. "I take those things and I learn. I've had moments sort of like, and I've had history in my matches, where things don't go my way.

"I sort of just bow out and I'm not really as competitive. But I'm happy with sort of how I managed it given the circumstances, just sort of kept pushing."

Raonic has won three career titles to date.
