Tomas Berdych put on an impressive display to beat Rafael Nadal and progress through to the Australian Open semi-finals.
The seventh seed won 6-2 6-0 7-6(5) to register his first win over Nadal since 2006, 17 matches ago.
Berdych broke Nadal in just the fourth game of the match, as the Spaniard hit three unforced errors in a shaky start.
The Czech player continued to play fluid tennis, while a stiff-looking Nadal surrendered the opening set by conceding a second break of serve in the eighth game.
Confidence continued to flow through Berdych, while Nadal made several errors in a disastrous second set where he failed to register a single game.
His relentless opponent took full advantage, as he broke in the second, fourth and sixth games to put himself in a commanding position.
A resilient Nadal managed to find his form in the third set and the pair produced some excellent tennis, but Berdych managed to get the better of the former champion in a tie-break.
Berdych will play either Andy Murray or Nick Kyrgios in the next round.
