Novak Djokovic has beaten Andrey Kuznetsov 6-0 6-1 6-4 to earn a spot in the third round of the Australian Open.
Djokovic looked in no mood to gift any early openings to Kuznetsov, and the Serbian took full advantage of errors from his opponent to storm into the lead.
Just 22 minutes had passed in the Rod Laver Arena before the top seed wrapped up the opening set thanks to three breaks of serve and a lack of quality from Kuznetsov.
The beginning of the second set followed a similar pattern as Djokovic quickly won the first three games before Kuznetsov finally got on the scoreboard.
It was a rare success for the Russian, and he struggled to offer any further resistance as Djokovic stormed away with another set.
Kuznetsov caused a surprise by finding a break of serve early in the third set, but the response from the world number one was swift and emphatic.
Djokovic's powerful ground strokes were too much for Kuznetsov to handle as the world number 88 desperately looked for a way back into the match before the defeat was confirmed.
