Andy Murray has dropped just six games on the way to a routine victory over Marinko Matosevic in the Australian Open second round.
The sixth seed prevailed 6-1 6-3 6-2 against the Australian to set up a last-32 meeting with Joao Sousa.
Murray went into the contest with three previous wins against the world number 81 and he made the perfect start to his attempt for a fourth in breezing through the first set in just 21 minutes.
An immediate break at the start of the second kept Matosevic on the back foot, but to his credit, the 29-year-old reach the midway point of the set at 4-3 to prevent Murray completely running away with the match.
However, after Murray broke for a third time in the set to take it 6-3, he opened the third with another breakthrough as he closed in on a place in the third round.
Matosevic continued to fight hard in front of his home supporters but he couldn't prevent Murray striking again to book his place in the third round.
