Number six seed Agnieszka Radwanska has advanced to the fourth round of the Australian Open courtesy of a straight-sets win over Varvara Lepchenko.
The 25-year-old started the match strongly as she earned break in the first service game of the American, and she continued that dominance throughout the first set to not drop a game to take it 6-0.
Lepchenko managed to hold her first service game in the second set to get on the board, and the 28-year-old showed fight to keep herself in the match.
The number six seed upped her game to produce a vital break in Lepchenko's third service game, but the American continued to fight back as she secured a break of her own to tie the second set.
However, Radwanska proved her quality with one final break of serve of the 28-year-old as she claimed the second set 7-5 to seal her place in the next stage of the tournament.
The Pole will face either Venus Williams or Camila Giorgi in the fourth round of the competition.
