Novak Djokovic has advanced to the quarter-finals of the Cincinnati Open after a 6-4 2-6 6-3 win over David Goffin.
A shaky first set saw the Belgian break his opponent's serve but he couldn't undo the damage done from his own serve being broken twice as the world number one claimed a 6-4 win.
Goffin then shocked his opponent by claiming the second set 6-2 before pulling three games clear in the third set, but the Serbian veteran subsequently reeled off six straight games to clinch the match.
Djokovic, who remains on course to be the first player to claim all nine different ATP Masters 1000 titles in his career, will now face off against Stanislas Wawrinka in the final eight.
