Roberto Bautista Agut cruised into the fourth round of the French Open courtesy of a straight-sets victory over Borna Coric this evening.
The Spaniard took just over two hours to see off his unseeded opponent 6-2 6-3 6-3 as Coric's run at Roland Garros came to an end.
Bautista Agut got off to a perfect start by racing into a 3-0 lead, and that early dominance was a sign of things to come as he quickly took control.
Another break in the final game of the set wrapped up a 6-2 win in the opener, but 19-year-old Coric showed signs of a fightback early in the second by getting his first break of the match.
The 14th seed fought back with two breaks of his own later in the second, though, and once again only needed one set point to take it 6-3.
Bautista Agut took another step towards the fourth round by breaking again in the first game of the third set, and the rest of the contest went with serve to wrap up a comfortable victory for the 28-year-old.
Bautista Agut will next face either Novak Djokovic or Aljaz Bedene in the next round.
