Eugenie Bouchard has reached the semi-finals of the French Open thanks to a three-set triumph over Carla Suarez-Navarro.
The 20-year-old Canadian will now face Maria Sharapova for the chance to take part in her first Grand Slam final.
Suarez-Navarro opened up a commanding 5-2 lead in the opening set before Bouchard fought back to force the tie-break. The 18th seed then earned four mini-breaks to close it out 7-4.
Both players exchanged breaks at the start of the second, but it was Suarez-Navarro who broke twice more to take the set 6-2.
The Spaniard, seeded 14th, looked to be in control of the decider by moving into a 4-1 lead, only for Bouchard to mount an impressive comeback on her way to progressing 7-6(4) 6-2 7-5.
