Andrea Petkovic has reached her first Grand Slam semi-final by thrashing Sara Errani in straight sets at the French Open.
The German, who is seeded 28th in Paris, will now meet fourth seed Simona Halep for a place in Saturday's final.
Errani took control earlier on as a break of her opponent's serve saw her open up an early lead, but Petkovic rattled off six games in a row after that to take the first set 6-2.
Both players failed to hold serve during the opening four games of an erratic second set before Petkovic broke twice more on her way to seeing out the match 6-2 6-2.
