Agnieszka Radwanska has moved into the second round of the French Open by defeating Zhang Shuai with ease in Paris this morning.
The world number three needed a little over an hour to down her Chinese counterpart 6-3 6-0 and progress into the next round.
Despite a one-sided second set, the Pole was made to work hard to earn that advantage in the match as the pair were tied on three games apiece midway through the first set.
However, Radwanska applied the pressure and forced two breaks of serve en route to a 6-3 first-set victory.
Zhang, who has never progressed beyond the first round, failed to make inroads toward ending that status quo by allowing Radwanska to take a 3-0 lead, before taking the remaining three games with ease.
