Serena Williams has booked her spot in the fifth round of the French Open with a 6-1 6-3 victory over Roberta Vinci on Sunday.
The American took charge in the early stages of the opening set, securing two successive breaks before moving into a 4-0 lead on serve.
Vinci did manage to hold her next service game, but another break at 1-5 allowed Williams to claim the opening set.
The second set proved to be a tighter affair with Vinci more than matching the power of Williams as the set remained on serve at 4-3.
Williams managed to break in the latter stages of the second, however, before serving her way into the next round after just over an hour of tennis.
