Maria Sharapova has reached the fourth round of the French Open with an unblemished 6-0 6-0 victory over Paula Ormaechea.
The Russian pro's chances of winning the Grand Slam were boosted even further following the exit of Agnieszka Radwanska this afternoon.
While the eventual scoreline indicates that it was a breeze for Sharapova, it was a different story in her opening game as she was pushed to the limit by Ormaechea.
However, she relinquished three break points as Sharapova held and eventually broke her opponent's serve three times to ease into a one-set lead.
The second set was more than comfortable for Sharapova as she took control of the court by breaking Ormaechea at the first time of asking before easing to a further two break points to win the match.
