Viktor Troicki knocked Gilles Simon out of the French Open following a straight-sets win in the third round of the Grand Slam on Friday.
The Serbian, who is ranked six places below Simon in the ATP world rankings, booked his place in the fourth round with a 6-4 6-2 6-2 victory.
Simon failed to recover from a wobble when he lost serve in his opening game, despite later breaking back, and he was kept on the backfoot in the second set.
Troicki went a break up to take a 2-1 lead before breaking again, and his opponent failed to muster a single break point while also winning just two games.
Simon's game never really got going as he converted just two game points, making it a comfortable finish for Troicki, who wrapped up the match in just over two hours.
